Suitify Measurement Guide
At Suitify, we believe a great suit starts with great measurements. Whether you’re ordering your first custom suit or refining your second, this guide will help you take accurate body measurements for both your Jacket and Trousers, ensuring a sharp, comfortable, and impeccably tailored fit.
Jacket Measurements
A. Neck
Measure around the base of your neck, where a shirt collar would sit. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
B. Front Jacket Length
From the top of your shoulder (where the sleeve meets the collar), measure straight down to the bottom hem of the jacket (typically just below the waist).
C. Full Back Length
From the base of your neck (at the spine), measure down your back to the bottom hem of the jacket.
D. Full Shoulder
Measure across your back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other, following the natural curve of your shoulders.
E. Full Sleeve Length
With your arm relaxed at your side, measure from the top of your shoulder (where the sleeve begins) down to your wrist bone (just past the wrist crease).
F. Chest
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits, keeping it parallel to the floor. Breathe normally — don’t puff out!
G. Across Chest
Measure horizontally across the front of your chest, from armpit to armpit. This helps determine how wide the jacket should be across the bust.
H. Waist / Stomach
Measure around your natural waistline — typically the narrowest part of your torso, above your hips. For most, this is just above the navel.
I. Hips / Seat
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat. Keep the tape horizontal.
J. Across Back
Measure horizontally across your back, from armpit to armpit, just below the shoulder blades. Helps ensure proper back width.
K. Bicep
With your arm relaxed, measure around the fullest part of your upper arm (bicep).
Trouser Measurements
A. Trouser Waist
Measure around your natural waistline — where you wear your trousers. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
B. Hips / Seat
With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat. Tape should be parallel to the floor.
C. Thigh
Measure around the fullest part of your thigh, about 10–15 cm below the crotch. Keep legs slightly apart for accuracy.
D. Knee
Measure around the knee with your leg slightly bent. This ensures comfort and movement.
E. Bottom
Measure around the ankle/cuff area — where the trouser leg ends. Keep feet together and tape horizontal.
F. Crotch / Body
Measure from the top of your waistband (front) down through your legs to the same point at the back (along the inseam line). This determines rise and overall fit.
G. Trouser Length
From the top of your waistband (front) straight down to the floor. Stand naturally — do not bend your knees.
H. Inseam
Measure from the crotch (where your legs meet) down the inside of your leg to the desired length (usually just touching the top of your shoe heel).
